Bring it Back

Dominate. Thrive. MichAGAIN.

Michigan was once a national leader in industry, manufacturing, and innovation. We produced products and services that were world-class – it’s time to bring Michigan back to its roots! AFP is working daily to restore prosperity in the Great Lakes State by holding our legislators accountable for policies that allow Michiganders to thrive again. We are all capable of great things when given the freedom and opportunity to pursue our dreams. That means getting government out of the way.

Let’s MichAGAIN! Help bring it back – Join the Movement!

Michigan has a proud history of hard work, innovation, and freedom — but lately, we’ve drifted from the values that made us great. Together, we can revive opportunity, strengthen our communities, and protect the future for the next generation.
One Small Step

What Fuels Freedom

For nearly 250 years, Americans have taken bold steps to push the boundaries of what’s possible in pursuit of their unique dreams. This video explores what fuels that freedom—the principles of liberty, opportunity, and personal agency that empower individuals to dream big and take action. As part of AFP’s One Small Step campaign, it’s a call to every citizen to make a difference in their community, whether through a conversation, a local event, or civic engagement. The future of the American Dream depends on each of us taking that first step.

AFP is Fighting to Bring Michigan Back

Michigan can thrive again — but only if we take bold action to put people, not bureaucracy, first. That means lowering our income taxes so families and small businesses can keep more of what they earn, demanding real transparency in how Lansing spends our money, reining in unelected regulators, protecting the right to work, and putting students and parents at the center of education. By restoring freedom, accountability, and opportunity, we can make Michigan competitive, prosperous, and free once more.

Lower Our Income Taxes Now

Most Michiganders and small businesses deserve a win! There is no better win than letting them keep more of their hard-earned dollars and giving less to the government. We can no longer afford to maintain our high taxes and expect to remain competitive with neighboring states when it comes to jobs, housing and education.

Transparency in the State Budget

This may sound like common sense, but this is not how budgets have been made in Lansing over the past several years regardless of which political party was in majority. Transparency in the state budgetary process should not be left up to whoever is in leadership. It is something that ought to be fundamental and in law moving forward. Michiganders deserve to know what their government is spending their money on and why.

REINs Act

This would dramatically change the way things are done in Michigan. Unelected and unknown bureaucrats have been making the rules for too long in Lansing. They are not subject to being voted out of office or to term limits! The more reigning in on government regulations the more attractive Michigan becomes for jobs, housing and education.

Right to Work

Most states have passed Right to Work. It is no longer a question of if those states are more competitive than anti-right to work states but by how much. Michigan ought to be putting itself in the most competitive light possible to attract and maintain workers and small businesses.

Educational Freedom

Student outcomes will drastically improve when we have a system that is more focused on them and not on the building or institution they go to for school. These improvements will best prepare them to be contributing members of our society and the future leaders of industry that we want them to be.
