AFP-MI to Elissa Slotkin: “National Security Starts with a Strong and Secure Border”

Lansing, Michigan—This evening, Congresswoman and Senate hopeful Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) discussed national security from the main stage of the Democratic National Convention.

Americans for Prosperity-Michigan (AFP-MI) State Director Tim Golding issued the following statement as Slotkin addressed the DNC.

“It’s simply remarkable that Congresswoman Slotkin can address the topic of national security on the national stage and neglect to mention the crisis on our Southern Border. National security starts with a strong and secure border. Unfortunately, Slotkin, like most of her colleagues, has endorsed the Biden-Harris administration’s reckless and lawless approach to border security by refusing to prioritize border security.

“Michiganders cannot take her seriously on border security—or national security.”
