ICYMI: AFP-MI & The LIBRE Initiative Host Discussion on Education Reform with Former Congressman Mike Rogers
Grand Rapids, MI – Americans for Prosperity–Michigan (AFP-MI) and The LIBRE Initiative hosted a community discussion in Grand Rapids focused on the state of education in Michigan and the urgent need for student-centered reforms.
The event featured former Congressman Mike Rogers, State Rep. Gina Johnsen (R-Lake Odessa), and Citizens for Traditional Values CEO Eileen McNeil, who highlighted how bold, student-focused solutions can reverse Michigan’s educational decline and expand opportunity for families across the state.
AFP-MI State Director Tim Golding released the following statement:
“Michigan’s students and families deserve an education system that works for them. For too long, outdated policies have limited opportunity and failed to put students first. Today’s conversation was about restoring excellence to Michigan’s education system by empowering parents, supporting teachers, and ensuring every child in our great state can reach their full potential. When we focus on students, our entire state wins.”
