Policy Agenda

Government bureaucrats have increasingly invaded our daily lives, telling us everything about what cars and appliances we are allowed to own, what types of food we can purchase, and how everyday Michiganders are allowed to do their jobs. This is not right! We must return authority where it rightfully belongs – back to the representatives that WE elected.

This legislation is currently being drafted in Michigan. Once signed into law, REINS will require legislative approval for all new “major” rules and regulations that state departments and agencies want to implement.

This will dramatically change the way things are done in Michigan. Again, this doesn’t prevent the bureaucracy from wanting to make a rule; it just says they would need legislative approval to get it done.
