Right to Work

Michigan proudly joined the worker freedom movement in 2012, but due to shortsighted decision-making by our state government in 2023, it was repealed. We need to pass Right to Work again if we want to remain competitive, as most other states have already approved it.

Senate Bill 436 (sponsored by Sen. Thomas Albert) and Senate Bill 437 (sponsored by Sen. Roger Hauck) would do just that! They would prohibit mandatory union membership or financial support as a condition of employment, establishing civil penalties for violations, and reinforcing individual rights in labor relations. Again, this is a fundamental and common-sense change!

Unfortunately, we must fight this fight again, so Michigan can once again be competitive in today’s economy.
